Notifications

Choose which seller alerts reach you, and where, from your own Settings → Notifications page. It's personal: every seller, admin or not, sets their own choices here, and every alert only ever covers rooms you own.

The alerts

Each row is one alert, with an Email checkbox and a Slack checkbox where that alert has both.

  • A buyer opened one of my rooms: the first time each viewer opens a room you own. You won't be told about every repeat visit.
  • A buyer spent real time in one of my rooms: a summary after a buyer reads 3+ sections for 2+ minutes in one visit, covering what they viewed, what they came back to, what they read or watched, and where they finished. One alert per visit, sent once the visit has gone quiet; a visit that doesn't clear that bar doesn't send anything.
  • A buyer completed a plan task: the first time a buyer checks off a task in the room's action plan.
  • Plan tasks in my rooms are coming due: a digest of open action plan tasks in the live rooms you own, whoever each task is assigned to. It only arrives when there's news: each task is mentioned once when it's due tomorrow or today, and once more when it goes overdue. At most one email a day, and a task that stays overdue isn't repeated every morning. Email only; there's no Slack version of the digest.
  • A live room's deal was lost: the deal linked to one of your published rooms moved in Attio to a stage whose name includes Lost (for example "Lost" or "Closed Lost"). The Slack message has Unpublish room and Archive room buttons; the email has a button to the same confirm. Either opens the room and asks you to confirm first, including whether to also remove stakeholders' Google Drive access (see Google Drive access when a room goes offline). A deal that is reopened and lost again alerts again.
  • Someone opened a Sales Library link I shared: a Slack message when a buyer opens a tracked link you shared from the Sales Library app. Views still show on the record in Attio either way. Slack only today.

Every alert is on by default, so you hear about buyer activity even if you never visit this page. The share-opened alert is on the same way: it's on unless you mute it, either here or from the link in a Sales Library alert itself.

Email and Slack are independent

Your email choices work whether or not your workspace has Slack connected at all. Turning Slack off, or never connecting it, never touches your email alerts, and vice versa.

Slack needs a connection

The Slack column only works once a workspace admin connects Slack. Until then, Settings → Notifications shows the Slack column as unavailable with a short note; admins get a link to connect it from Settings → Integrations, and other sellers are told to ask an admin. Your email choices are unaffected either way. See Slack alerts for how an admin connects it.

The room alerts also need a plan that includes Slack alerts (Pro and Platform, including the Pro trial); on Free, their checkboxes stay unavailable even with Slack connected. The Sales Library share-opened row is the exception: it's part of the free Sales Library app and works once Slack is connected, on any plan.

Foyai finds you in Slack by the email address you use in Foyai. If Settings → Notifications says it couldn't find you, use that same address in Slack, then save your settings again to retry.

Unsubscribing from an email

The engaged-visit alert and the due-task digest each also have an Unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email. It turns off that alert only, the same as unticking it on Settings → Notifications, and leaves your other emails alone. Every unsubscribe link also has a "Manage all your notifications" link back to this page.
