Plans and billing

Foyai has three plans. Free is enough to prove the value on a couple of real deals; Pro removes the limits for a selling team; Platform adds scale and automation for bigger fleets.

Where to find it: Settings → Plan.

What each plan includes

Current prices, limits, and the feature comparison live in one place: foyai.com/pricing. This guide deliberately doesn't repeat them, so what you read on the pricing page is always what you get.

Your own workspace's plan, seat count, limits, and usage are on the Plan page (Settings → Plan). When a feature or limit depends on your plan, the guide for that feature says so and links back here.

The Pro trial

New workspaces start on Free with a Pro trial: every Pro feature unlocked, no card required. The trial starts the first time you sign in (time spent on the waitlist doesn't count). The Plan page shows a Pro trial chip with the days left, plus the exact end date.

While the trial is active your workspace behaves as Pro everywhere, and usage during the trial doesn't count against Free's caps.

When the trial ends, the workspace returns to Free limits immediately:

  • Publishing and AI drafting stop at the Free caps. Rooms you already published stay live.
  • Slack alerts pause until you upgrade. Email alerts are unaffected; they aren't a paid feature.
  • A custom domain you already verified keeps serving your rooms, so links buyers already have keep working. You can re-check or remove it any time from Settings → Branding. Setting up or changing a custom domain needs a paid plan.

Upgrading mid-trial doesn't cost you the remaining days: checkout captures your card right away, and billing starts when the trial window closes.

How billing works

Billing runs on Stripe:

  • Upgrading opens Stripe Checkout. Your plan updates within a few seconds of payment confirming.
  • Everything after that (changing seats, switching plans, updating your card, downloading invoices, canceling) happens in the Manage billing portal, linked from the Plan page.
  • If a payment fails, the Plan page warns you; update your payment method in the portal to keep the workspace active.

Annual billing is the default in the plan picker; the monthly/annual toggle and Pro seat count are on the page.

If your plan shows "managed by Foyai", it was set up manually; contact us to change it.

If your plan shows Granted by Foyai, Foyai gave your workspace that plan without a subscription, sometimes until an end date shown on the Plan page. A granted plan is never billed; contact us to change it.

Platform metered rooms

On Platform, the Plan page shows a This billing period card: your current period, active billable rooms against the amount your plan includes, and the projected overage. A room only counts as active when it had buyer engagement or AI activity that period; dormant rooms don't bill. Overage is billed monthly in arrears.

Where you'll bump into limits

  • Publishing past the Free cap: the publish flow stops you. Archive a room or upgrade.
  • AI drafting past the Free cap: drafting is blocked.
  • Auto-creation on Free: automation settings exist but nothing fires until you upgrade.
  • Auto-creation past your plan's monthly allowance: pauses until the month resets.

Each limit is enforced where you'd hit it, with the current numbers and the upgrade path shown in place.
